At the end of last week, there were a couple times while I was out working the horses when I glanced over and had a clear view of her dilated bottom as she lay there groaning with every breath. As soon as she stood up, though, everything closed back up again.
I was starting to really worry about her, as in "Do they do c-sections on goats?" and "Do you ever have to "turn" a baby goat?" and "I like this goat, but do I really want to have to pay for a goat c-section?" and "Kid 3 (Apple is her "personal" goat) is going to be devastated if we have to put this goat down."
Thank goodness that's over with--at least for another year!
I was only able to get this one lousy picture yesterday--it was a really crazy day. I'll try to get a better one of all three of the new kids today and I'll make another post about my crazy day later. Lots happening at West View Acres.
Before I go--my condolences to all those affected by the attack at the Boston Marathon. Maybe because I ran that race back in 2005, it really felt personal to me. Love, thoughts, and prayers to you all.
