Actually it kind of looks like she's about to bite my head off, but still, it really was meant to be a "happy" horse face.
A friend of mine loaned me some Imagine a Horse videos with "Master Trick Trainer" Allen Pogue. Today we have 30 mph winds with 45 mph gusts. I didn't relish getting blown away riding today, so I decided to take advantage of the new barn (I love my barn, I love my barn) and teach Piper a couple of tricks.
We started with the Smile and then I introduced the Salute, which involves teaching the horse to raise the correct front leg on cue. It was fun! The hardest part was keeping Piper from getting too obnoxious about the treats.
Please bear with me over the next little bit while I attempt to figure out the best camera angles for when I play with the horses. Most of the time, I'm the only one home when I am out horsing around--everyone else is at school or work.
