Kid 1 is not a happy camper. About the only things she likes to eat are alfredo noodles, muffins and bagels, none of which fall under the approved gluten-free list. I've tried purchasing her some gluten-free substitutes, but "They're gross, Mom!"
You know the stages of grief? Kid 1 is firmly in the anger/denial stages. Last night during family home evening, I suggested that she talk to us about her feelings. She refused, saying 1) You'll just get mad if I do and 2)There are young children present.
I told her she could take it outside if she wanted. Whereupon she went out to the barn and spent several minutes desensitizing the horses to loud screeching and screaming and shouting. She came back in with a smile.
It's a good thing we don't have any super close neighbors.
