I missed the window of opportunity to harrow last spring, so it had been a couple years since I've used Piper as a plow horse. She was a little anxious at first about having the harrow behind her, but she settled after a couple laps. I think she was tired out by the time we finished. I know I was. We were also wet because it began drizzling on us as we finished the last field.
I took her into the barn to unsaddle her. She dropped and rolled in the sand four separate times. If it hadn't been 8 at night with me in a hurry to get my belated supper, I think she'd still be rolling!
