The back fence is still down-usually we just take down all of the strands, but this year we took out all of the t-posts, too, because of Phase 3 of our diabolical plans. I had suggested to Stable Boy that we purchase a t-post remover so that we would have an easier time taking out the posts. It worked marvelous! Much better than wiggling it back and forth and straining to get the post out of the ground.
Something had to be done. We opted to take down the fence, dig a new ditch along the old fence line and move the fence forward so that the horses will not have access to the ditch at all. Stable Boy put in a 12 hour day today on the mini-ex putting this plan in motion. When all is said and done, we should add an extra 8-10 feet to our usable grazing/riding pasture area along the entire length of our back property line (which is about 300 feet long).
Phase 4? Smooth out the dirt and re-install the fence in it's new location. If we're lucky, we'll finish this weekend. Maybe.
