I considered this visit my reward for surviving five hours in that mecca of shopping malls--Mall of America. I believe my teenage daughters considered our time there the highlight of our trip. Let's not even talk about the fiasco of us driving into the parking structure and then realizing that the car carrier was hitting the 7 foot tall height restriction bar. In case you didn't realize, there is no legal way to get turned around once you enter one of those things without having to go all the way up into the structure. It was so not cool. We managed to escape unscathed, though.
I'm grateful for the recent rain here that made it possible for Mark and Shellie to graciously spend a couple hours showing off their beautiful Heritage Walkers. Normally this time of year they are busy cutting hay, but the wet fields provided them with a bit of down time.
Some of the horses were right by their home, but we had to travel to four different pastures, covering hundreds of acres, to see the others. It was really picturesque, with the horses scattered on rolling hills of green grass. Thanks, Mark and Shellie!
I've got more pics that I'll post later.
